How Direct Billing Works
When direct billing is available for your plan, the clinic can submit your chiropractic treatment directly to your insurance provider on your behalf.
If approved:
- Your insurance pays their covered portion
- You are responsible only for any remaining balance, if applicable
If direct billing is not available for your specific plan, a detailed insurance receipt is always provided so you can submit the claim yourself.
Insurance Providers & Coverage
Extended health insurance coverage for chiropractic care varies by provider and policy.
Coverage may depend on:
- Your annual or per-visit limits
- Whether a referral is required
- How often your benefits renew
- Your remaining balance for the year
Because plans differ, we recommend confirming coverage details directly with your insurance provider.
What If Direct Billing Is Not Available for My Plan?
If your insurance plan does not support direct billing:
- You will receive a detailed receipt after your appointment
- Receipts can typically be submitted online or through your insurer’s app
- Many patients are still reimbursed based on their plan
We’re happy to help answer questions before your visit.
What Information Is Included on Insurance Receipts?
Receipts typically include:
- Provider name and registration number
- Date of service
- Type of chiropractic treatment
- Amount paid
This documentation meets the requirements of most Canadian insurance providers.
